In today’s super charged climate when you hear the word “termination” you might just think of another well-worn phrase… “you’re fired!”
But at Coaxicom nothing could be further from the truth. Because termination is an industry term which requires the installation of a special device, known as a terminator, at the end of a wire or cable to prevent an RF signal from being reflected back from the end, causing interference. The terminator is placed at the end of a transmission line designed to match impedance and hence minimize signal reflections.
Coaxicom offers a wide variety of RF Coaxial Terminations, including “hard to find” series like SSMA’s. Coaxicom terminations provide excellent performance at a reasonable price. And all are made in the USA, at the Stuart, Florida manufacturing facilities. Our RF coaxial terminations are available in 2.4mm, 2.92mm, 7/16 DIN, BNC, C, N, QMA, SMA, SSMA, SSMB, SSMC, SMB, SMC, SMP and TNC connector types (specials available upon request). Categories include standard and feed-thru with power ratings from 0.25 to 150 watts. Standard impedances are 50 & 75 Ohm with frequency ranges from DC to 40 GHz. Coaxicom’s RF/microwave terminations are also ROHS and REACH compliant. Coaxicom’s innovative 3900 series terminations are designed to minimize reflected power that often impedes transmission quality. Used across a spectrum of multi-port microwave devices including directional couplers, isolators and high-power transmitter applications, terminations absorb energy and prevent RF signals from reflecting back from open-ended or unused circuit ports.
The Coaxicom DC-26.5 GHz design maintains the mechanical integrity of 18 GHz designs with advanced performance, VSWR of 1.20:1 max. The 3900 terminations are available in SMA male interface configurations. The 3900 termination series is in full production, and components are available with low minimum order quantity requirements. Type N (5900 series terminations ) is a precision design that exhibits extremely low VSWR and operates from DC to 18 GHz. The male connectors are provided with a 3/4 hex coupling nut so they can be properly torqued to 12 in/lb. Connector bodies are made from stainless steel, and contacts are made from gold plated and heat treated beryllium copper contacts to insure long life and reliability.
